Testing and Ensuring Drinking Water Quality with IoT and AI

Introduction

Clean and safe drinking water is essential for health. In an effort to raise awareness about water quality and safety, our school is launching a project where students will test their home drinking water. This initiative is designed to educate students about the importance of clean water and provide them with hands-on scientific learning.

Step by Step Process

Step 1: student will receive a water testing kit

Student will receive a highly versatile water testing kit capable of measuring multiple key water quality parameters. This digital multi-function tester provides precise readings on factors such as pH levels, electrical conductivity, total dissolved solids (TDS), salinity, oxidation-reduction potential (ORP), and temperature.

Step 2: Conducting the Water Test

Students will follow a simple and guided process to analyze their home’s drinking water using a digital multi-function tester. This device measures multiple key water quality parameters, providing accurate and real-time results.

  • Prepare the Tester – Ensure the device is clean and properly calibrated according to the instructions.
  • Collect a Water Sample – Pour a small amount of drinking water into a clean container for testing
  • Submerge the Probe – Place the tester’s probe into the water sample to allow the sensors to detect various water quality parameters.
  • View Instant Results – The digital screen will display readings for pH, total dissolved solids (TDS), salinity, temperature, and other key factors.
  • Record the Data – Write down the measurements for further analysis and reporting

Step 3: Reporting and Analyzing Findings

After recording their results, students will submit their findings to the school for further discussion and analysis. AI assistants, like Gemini, will help interpret the data by providing insights into water quality, identifying potential concerns, and suggesting possible solutions. This collaborative process will help students better understand their water test results and explore ways to improve water safety if needed.
